Shareable games and better player pages
A lot of yesterday’s work was about making Baseball Sim Engine easier to use outside of a single browser session.
Shareable games
New games now include an exact start time in their URL.
Because the simulation is deterministic, that gives shared links a common clock. Someone opening the same game later can reconstruct the same simulation and stay in sync without storing a separate copy of the game for every visitor.
Direct box score links are getting the same treatment. If the game is not already loaded in the browser, the site can reconstruct it from the URL instead of returning “Game not found.”
Cleaner box scores
The standalone Game Log page is gone. The game log now lives directly inside the box score, where it is more useful.
Scheduled games also handle box score links more cleanly by sending visitors back to the game until it has started.
Better player pages
Player pages got another round of polish.
Season stats are also easier to read on small screens: Season, Age, and Team stay fixed while the rest of the table scrolls horizontally.
Small changes, but the site is starting to feel much more connected.
